Cloth Diapers

Yes, we are the 'hippy' parents that use cloth diapers on our child. I'm sure you're all thinking back to the cloth diapers of our childhood (or our parents' childhoods) and the plastic pants, etc. But actually, cloth diapering has come a LONG way since then!

Cloth diapering is better for the environment (I want my children and grandchildren to enjoy this planet so I see it as my job to help protect it!), better for your WALLET, and better for baby (Ever think about what is IN a disposable diaper that makes it so absorbent...?)! Not to mention, it is more convenient (no running to the store to fork over money for more diapers that you will subsequently throw away) and more comfortable (What is your underwear made of? Plastic and paper? or soft cloth fibers?).

I have learned so much in my cloth diapering experience so I hope to share some of my favorite tips, things I've learned along the way, and the basic how-to's of cloth diapering on this page. For now, if you are interested, check out the following sites for products and a PLETHORA of information!

I buy the majority of our diapers and supplies (laundry detergent, wet bags for dirty diapers, etc.) from Kelly's Closet.

Other great retailers I use and love:
Nicki's Diapers
Jillian's Drawers
Jack Be Natural
Granola Babies

Each retailer also has a Facebook page. I have "Liked" them all and they regularly post not only deals and special codes for sales, but sometimes include great tips on care and use.

I have recently fallen in love with the Granola Babies blog/resources. I appreciate all natural parenting information (breastfeeding, babywearing, natural birth, etc.) and she (Giselle) has a ton of it!
